What is your interpretation of American Pie?

Don McLean’s song has been a topic of discussion among music listeners for years. Until recently, I thought it was only a literal song about a guy with a Chevy and some apple pie, but recently I’ve heard a lot more interpretations of the jester and the king and the queen and the white sports coat and the song in general. How do you think the song should be interpreted?

Can a bad front shock affect your steering wheel when you are driving? I got another question when I hit a speed bump I hear like noise is not a ball joint or a bad wheel bearing in is not the rack pinion because it is new the rack pinion is 5 days old! When you have the two front shock going bad can it mess up your wheel aligment? The car is a Durango 4 wheel drive!

Please help find the name of the song/album/artist from the late 60s/70s?

The lyrics includes reference to someone named Curtis. It also has reference to a needle hanging from an arm. This was an early, heavy drug culture tune. It is also pre-Curt Cobain who is not the Curtis referenced in this song.

Have you ever surpised people with the music you listen to based on your looks?

What I mean is, a few weeks ago I posted one of my usual questions about metal and I got some responses about “Why are you asking about metal?” and it got me thinking: I am a woman who listens to a lot of different types of music. To judge me based soley on my conservative exterior I think is foolish.

Most people I know are SHOCKED to hear that I have two tattoos, like metal and have a child?

When did this all become mutually exclusive?

I agree Lucy, I wear minishirts and high heels, and I used to date an ex-Hells Angel! I actulally do like shocking people and I **** that people assume stuff about me and don’t know me!
Great answers so far, I recall a co-worker screaming YOU HAVE TWO TATTOOS! Like I had a disease or something! (lol)

God forbid these geniuses find out I listen to metal! Their hair will turn white!
Fonzie: My ex-husband (who is caucasian) is a huge rap fan so he gets this in reverse. He gets made fun of for liking Nas, KRS-One, Wu Tang Clan etc. I know a bit about rap, having been with him for six years, and I always hear “What do you know about rap?”
So, it definetly goes both ways, and either way is ridiculous as far as I am concerened.
