Something Jewish and Christian moms seem to have in common?

Perhaps mothers of other religions or non-religions are like this, too, but does it seem that Jewish and Christian moms have this fear that whoever comes into the house is famished and needs “a little something” that turns into three helpings and a scolding that you’re not eating more?
No CommentsI know these two groups don’t have a lock on mothering at all, that’s not what this question is about. It’s just the “have you eaten yet” syndrome seems rampant among these moms. What do you think?

What does the western world think about Indian films?

Most Indian movies have dance numbers and songs. The western world seems to think this is really funny. It’s culture. Their are many movies that are extremely well made and some don’t have songs or dances. What about the gems like Omkara, Eklavya, Guru, Black Friday, Dosar, Dharm, Saira. Most westerners think “Bollywood” is Indian cinema. That is only Hindi cinema and most bollywood films are really commercialized(Not all) ..I don’t think the western world has an idea of what India is capable of producing, yet build on the stereotypical image. According to a American Newspaper, all Indian films are “Boy meets girl” type storylines.That is absolutely not true since thier is a variety of differant stories. (Action, suspence, scary, drama, serious, romance) across the country (Not just bollywood). They may have love in it, but it isn’t always the main plot. Also apparently “They never show blood or kiss scenes”…It’s funny how not true that is. What do you think of Indian cinema?

What’s an easy way to get to sleep when you have trouble sleeping?

I always seem to be worrying about something, or stressing out about something, or songs running through my head and I have a hard time sleeping. I’d just like to sleep for a good 8 hours at least without having to take pills for it.

are bollywood audiences maturing?

One love story after another..dances..songs..slapstick comedy..revenge dramas…Thats what sells and gets the box office rolling…Why doesn’t the Indian public like something differant? Being cyrus, omkara, eklavya, black friday, dor, dharm, khosla ka ghosla…Those are good Indian films and deserve more then what they recieved! When will the Indian audience mature? It is as if they don’t want anything differant…Omkara was brilliant but people couldn’t handle the language (Realism hurts). Black friday was amazing, but what happened? How come films like partner, and welcome do great business but thought provoking films get ignored?
